Mary Anne Hobbs (born 16 May ) is an English DJ and music journalist from Lancashire, England.
She currently hosts the BBC Radio 6 Music weekday mid-morning show, Monday to Friday, am 1pm. She is also a performer and curator of live events.
Mary Anne left school at the age of 16 and went to work in an egg packing factory for the princely sum of £39 per week.
In she created a ground-breaking collaboration with violinist Anna Phoebe for the 6 Music Festival. She's hosted the ALL QUEENS stage at All Points East festival for 4 years.
