          Paul Bachmann's father was Johann Friedrich Bachmann (1799-1876), a Lutheran minister, and his mother was Julie Lieder (1806-1885).

          Johann Bachmann had been born in Drossen, Prussia, the son of the Lutheran minister Christian Friedrich Bachmann.

          Paul Gustav Heinrich Bachmann (22 June – 31 March ) was a German mathematician.
